In my former career I owned a small graphic design and marketing firm. Our jobs were to be creative every single day. As a result, my team and I were often challenged with creative road blocks. To help get our creative juices flowing we came up with set up brainstorming tools to help facilitate the process. As a jewelry designer, I found myself faced with the same challeges and use the same techniques to get fresh idea for my designs.
At the 2010 PMC Conference I gave a presentation on creative brainstorming. Amoung the ideas that I presented was using my creativity cards to help stimulate creativity. To use these cards, download and print them on card stock. Cut the cards out on the dotted line. When you need a creative boost, simply shuffle the cards and pick one. Read the card aloud and do the excerise on the card. Enjoy! |
